Our Journey
Immigrant Muse was founded by Oyin Steve, a passionate advocate for immigrants, to help newcomers avoid the common pitfalls and challenges of the settlement journey. What started as a simple blog in 2019, sharing insights and advice has grown into a comprehensive media company, thanks to the support of the Government of Canada.
From Blog to Magazine
Recognizing the immense need for reliable information, Immigrant Muse transitioned from a blog to a magazine in 2021. This shift allowed us to fill critical information gaps in the settlement sector and make a greater impact on the lives of immigrants. Our magazine publishes articles monthly online and quarterly in print, offering valuable insights, education, and advocacy for immigrants. (Note that we are in the process of restructuring our Magazine).
Expanding Our Horizons
In 2025, leveraging our extensive experience with newcomers, visible minority groups, and vulnerable populations, Immigrant Muse expanded into a full-service communication and public relations consulting firm. Our founder, Oyin Steve, brings a wealth of expertise in corporate communication and international and intercultural communication. We help organizations effectively reach and engage hard-to-reach populations, including newcomers, Indigenous people, and visible minority groups.
