Welcome to Immigrant Muse Podcast, where we muse about everything that impacts the lives of immigrants from the perspective of immigrants. Thank you for accepting our invitation to be a guest on one of our shows. We value your time and provide the information below to help you prepare adequately and ensure you have a seamless experience.
Recording Platform:
We’ll record the show using Riverside FM, which allows both video and audio recording. Please use the link to log on at least 5 minutes before the scheduled recording time to allow for any setup or technical issues.
Equipment & Technology:
You can use your mobile phone or computer with a webcam and audio capacity. We recommend you use wired headphones during the recording to reduce latency (the time it takes for your audio signal to be sent to your computer). Please make sure to reduce background noise and echo. And record in a quiet room with limited visual distractions.
Lighting:
Good lighting is important to ensure high-quality video recording. Your recording room should be well-lit with natural light or a lamp that can be adjusted to your liking. Avoid backlighting and try to sit facing a window, if possible.
Dress Code:
Dress comfortably. Please note that we’ll also publish the video on our YouTube and social media channels.
Format (40-50 minutes recording time):
- Warm-up (3-5 minutes): Review the run of the show before going live.
- Discussion (20 – 30 minutes): the host(s) will guide the discussion based on the questions you received before the show. The host(s) may ask follow-up questions depending on your responses. Our goal is for the discussion to flow naturally. While you may want to note some of your key points for reference, it is best to avoid reading out your answer.
- Wrap-up (2-5 minutes): Final words from guest, thank you, summary and close.
The show will be published on the Immigrant Muse podcast available on the podcast platforms below:
